Reading and Math Foundation
At White Mountain Reading and Math LLC, we help children build strong, lasting foundations in both reading and mathematics. Our instruction is grounded in proven methods, including Orton‑Gillingham based phonics and our proprietary Vowel Reference Card. Through step‑by‑step phonetic decoding, spelling practice, and high‑frequency word mastery, students develop the skills they need to become confident, fluent readers. We use the same evidence-based approach now required in NH public school dyslexia screening and intervention, but delivered to you one-on-one, at your child's pace.
In mathematics, we use the Basic Math Skills sequence to strengthen number sense, place value, and fact fluency. Students learn strategies such as skip counting, the 9's rule, number patterns, and efficient ways to work with multiplication facts, helping them build confidence and accuracy across all operations.
I personally provide one‑on‑one instruction tailored to each child’s unique learning needs, ensuring steady progress and a supportive learning experience. This is my full-time focus and I spend considerable time preparing for each lesson.
